SpaceX who will be launching Kacific1 satellite to the orbit, has targeted Monday, the 16th December for the launching of JCSAT-18 / Kacific1 satellite from the Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The launching window will be opened at 19:10 EST, or 07:10 WIB on the 17th December and will be closed at 20:38 EST or 08:38 WIB on the 17th December. A reserve of launching window is available for Wednesday, the 18th December which will be opened at 19:10 EST, or 07:10 WIB on the 18th December and will be closed at 20:38 EST or 08:38 WIB on the 18th December. Satellite will be separated from the rocket rougly about 33 minutes after take off.
Falcon 9 rocket for JCSAT-18 / Kacific1 mission was previously used on CRS-17 mission in May 2019 and CRS-18 mission on July 2019. After separation from the rocket, SpaceX will land the Falcon 9 on the “Of Course I Still Love You” Droneship, which will be placed somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.
For about 45 minutes after take off, 2 pieces of SpaceX fairing recovery vessels, the “Ms. Tree” and “Ms. Chief” will be trying to recover the two pieces of that fairing.
