True Broadband

Our True Broadband is being delivered through Kacific1 Satellite, a satellite with the latest High Throughput Satellite (HTS) technology which operate in the Ka-Band frequency spectrum, which positioned above the equator at 150 degree East. The satellite was launched in the month of December 2019, with a large bandwidth capacity through its 56 spot beams which covered 25 Asia Pacific countries. There are 20 spot beams that serve the whole area of Indonesia. With a sophisticated ground segment technology, Kacific1 is able to provide a high speed broadband services, reliable, with high quality of service using a small terminal antenna.

High Throughput Satellite (HTS)

HTS technology is using multi spot beam and has a bigger bandwidth capacity because it can reuse the frequency throughout the system. Whereas, Fixed-Satellite Service (FSS) has a wider beam area, but does not reuse the frequency. So, the total throughput of the HTS technology is much bigger than the FSS, resulting a much higher spectral efficiency. New technology, such as Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM), Signal Pre-distortion and Uplink Power Control, Cross-Dimensional Multiple Access (Mx-DMA) is being used to increase the throughput and system availability which is useful to maintain the service quality, especially in the area with high rainfall condition.

Geostationary Ka-Band

Kacific1 is a geostationary satellite, orbiting at 35.786 km above the equator. Satellite which placed at the geostationary orbit, provides a stable and consistent services. Geostationary satellite has a latency of typically up to 600ms and only requires a simple and non-motorised receiving and transmitting antenna.

Kacific1 is using Ka-Band spectrum with HTS technology so it produces very strong signal the signal (peak EIRP at 64 dBW and peak G/T at 16 dB/K). This is 10 times more than the ordinary FSS satellite, so it will give a better user experience.

Sophisticated Gateways

Spot beam services for Indonesia is being controlled by Gateways which located at Eastern Java. Kratos Defense and Security company has designed, built and tested the radio frequency equipment and 9 meter antenna to be used at these Gateways. The Gateways are configured with RF Diversity to ensure the uplink availability if there is problem with the Main Gateway. This Gateway is using the latest and most sophiticated Hub from Newtec.

Portable Terminal

Most of the Kacific1 HTS customers will use 1.2m terminal antenna to receive and transmit data with download speed up to 100Mbps. Antenna with 0.75m and 1m size can also be used, depending on the location and the amount of the bandwidth needed. For a higher bandwidth like Trunking services, they can use 2.4m and up to 4.5m terminal antenna to get a download speed of up to 600 Mbps.
